Sabryn Leora...

Today my baby girl turned 5 years old (sniff, sniff). I was so happy to learn that we were going to have a Baby Girl! I had her named picked out for several years and couldn't wait to give it to her. I remember telling Charles that I would like to name our girl Sabryn and then we could call her "Saby Baby". He replied, "We can name her Sabryn, but we are not going to call her "Saby Baby". But, she was only minutes old and I remember Charles holding her and calling her his little "Saby Baby". A lot of people still call her that to this day. She is so precious to us! Around the time that she was due to arrive, Charles' cousin was getting married in Kansas and then his sister was getting married a week later. Charles was asked to be in both weddings. Because I was so close to my due date, I was unable to travel with him. So he flew back and forth from Florida to Kansas both of those weekends. Yes, I was a bit nervous and the last weekend he was gone I was having quite a few contractions. But, thankfully Sabryn didn't arrive until a week after the weddings were over. My friend Larissa stayed with me while he was gone. When Sabryn was born, I was a little sad to not have any family with me. Because of the weddings, all the family that we had was busy in Kansas while I was in Florida. My friend Betty Brown came with us to the hospital to be with me. For those of you who know the story of Charles' episode when Landen was born, you can see why I asked for another assistant! ;-) Betty was great and I really appreciated her help! Wow! I can't believe it has been 5 years!

We had her Birthday Party the last Friday evening (June 15) of our Family Vacation. She has been wanting a Ladybug Party for quite some time. And she said she wanted her party in Kansas at PaPa's house. Thanks PaPa & Gramma for hosting the party! I made her a ladybug cake (thanks to Elise for all the help with the cake baking & icing making!);-) and I also made her a very simple ladybug jumper (with some assistance from my next door neighbor). Sabryn loved her party and really liked being with all of her family! (Pictures Below)

Here are some of my favorite pictures of my Saby Baby...
